The BOPP film division of VIBAC Group was formed in 1980 with the construction and start-up of the first biaxially oriented polypropylene film plant in L'Aquila (Italy). The growth of the Film Division with the increased production capacity in L'Aquila and the subsequent addition of the plants in Potenza (Italy), Montreal (Canada), and Morristown (USA) has allowed VIBAC Group to follow the positive evolution of the polypropylene market.
Today, the VIBAC Group is one of the major BOPP film manufacturers in the world with a combined worldwide production capacity of 150,000 Metric Tons/Year (100,000 MT/Year in Europe and 50,000 MT/Year in North America) of clear, metallized and cavitated white opaque OPP films.
