The BOPP film division of VIBAC Group was formed in 1980 with the construction and start-up of the first biaxially oriented polypropylene film plant in L'Aquila (Italy). The growth of the Film Division with the increased production capacity in L'Aquila and the subsequent addition of the plants in Potenza (Italy), Montreal (Canada), and Morristown (USA) has allowed VIFAN to follow the positive evolution of the polypropylene market.

Today, VIFAN is one of the major BOPP film manufacturers in the world with a combined worldwide production capacity of 380 millions pounds/Year (160 millions pounds per year in North America and 220 millions pounds per year in Europe) of clear, metallized and cavitated white opaque OPP films.
